Italian Serie A 2013/2014 Fixtures List

The fixtures were revealed late on Monday at Milan. The new season of Italian Serie A begins on 24th of August with the final round of fixtures being played on May 18th, 2014. The long awaited fixtures provide us a glimpse of what may happen come the first weekend of Italian Serie A.

Italian Serie A Current ChampionsJuventus take on Sampdoria in their first match of the season.  The Genoa based side were the only team to do the double over the champions last season, but have lost Mauro Icardi and Andrea Poli during the transfer window. Juventus end their season at home against Cagliari. They will face an important game against Roma in the 37th game-week of the Italian Serie A.
Fiorentina fresh off some good business and with the sale of Stevan Jovetic look to push for Champions League spot at least this time around after falling just short last season, they will begin their campaign against Catania.
Maximilliano Allegri and AC Milan travel to Verona and will look to notch up a win after relatively quiet business in the summer despite being linked to a host of names.

Walter Mazzari’s Inter Milan play host to Genoa and will look to improve on their abysmal campaign last time around under Andrea Strammacioni.
Meanwhile Napoli and Rafa Benitez will look to wrest the Scudetto from Juventus after bolstering their attack and defence following the sale of Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani to PSG. Gonzalo Higuain will be their main man if they are to win the scudetto.
A good Serie A season looks to be on the cards and ever Italian football fan will be looking forward to the new season of the league on the 24th of August.
